I got the pumpkins at the farmer’s market – all 4 for ~$10. They were the most beautiful pumpkins that I have ever seen. In fact, I could not bear to carve them or alter them in any way. I sat them out on our front porch just like you see them here.
This year we bought cinnamon pine cones at Publix…..they smell absolutely WONDERFUL and it permeates the entire house. I need to learn how to do it myself. This is definitely something that I will repeat!
I can’t believe it is already October!
Things are great in Tuscaloosa – most of our energy has been spent on healing (me) and caretaking (Brent). I’m doing so much better! I finally started back to work full-time yesterday. One whole month of my work life (the last month of the work year) – gone!
October, November and December (looks sooo wrong without the comma before the and) are my favorite consecutive months! The weather is cooler, the leaves change, pumpkin comes back, and everything smells like apple and cinnamon. And the holidays are coming! Very exciting.
