Tonight we took one of our last walks as a family at the arboretum – for awhile, at least! Poor Brent is going under the knife on Friday and will be in a leg brace or on crutches for the next 8 weeks. Hopefully when it is all over his knee will be healthy and better than ever!
Let’s just say that these walks do have an ulterior motive: to get Milly in shape! Slowly but surely! We make Oscar walk on the leash, because he can’t be trusted – he will run off from us in a heartbeat. Milly doesn’t have to walk on the leash because she could never waddle fast enough to get away from us.
Some parts of the trail we have to carry her. Look how miserable she looks!!! She snorts, too, when she gets to breathing hard! I swear she sounds like a wild boar in the bush! Bless it.
They love the lake! All kinds of other dogs are jumping in after sticks and swimming around, but these puglets prefer to just get their front paws in.
See Milly coming up the hill….my gosh she is SO SLOW. Oscar played so hard that he hurt his paw and had to be carried for a little bit, which really made him mad.
This is Milly – too tired to walk!!! Carry me please!!
