Once every six weeks, I work the weekend.  This is what I have for lunch on those Saturdays.  It’s like a consolation.  THE BEST chicken fingers & fries of my life.  THE BEST.  From the cafeteria!  You can see that Brent also enjoys them.

The Plantation House restaurant, in Aliceville, about 45 minutes away, is a frequent Friday night outing with friends.  Famous for the physical structure (an actual old plantation house) as well as the buffets.  You can see in the pic above, Brent had to rest on his way to the car after indulging in the barbeque buffet (it was really good)!!!

I love this photo of the hallway at night, right when we are going to bed.  And Brent eating the aforementioned chicken fingers during lunch break.

The sonic in Alberta City, or what is left of it.  I used to stop here for diet cherry limeades on my way home from Zumba.

Taken at 5 pm….deserted parking lot, but there’s the Buck & the Explorer!  Dedicated employees!

Not sure what possessed me to cut my bangs in this terrible weather.  Never again.  Thrift store sunglasses for $1!

August Saturday

The summer is flying by!  Can’t believe it is already August.  I took the following photos on a very, very hot + humid walk this morning.

And my bolting basil.  I need to make some pesto ASAP.

This was in my fortune cookie at lunch. How ridiculous & ironic!  Social skills?  Yeah right.

So far this day has been full of my favorite things…a walk, Farmer’s Market, taking photos, the thrift store (yay!), and lunch at Ichiban, the Japanese restaurant.

Love Saturdays in the summer!
