Today we left for Tampa for a weekend trip. It has been pouring since we landed. Plans are to head to Busch Gardens tomorrow, but right now it looks like it is supposed to rain until 12 pm. Boo000! We are definitely having a streak of bad luck lately.
But is has still been a good day. This morning, we were up early to finish packing up. Oscar is wondering how he is going to be able to fit in the suitcase!
First stop, breakfast at Niki’s West in Birmingham. Any time we are in the vicinity of this place, we just have to stop.

In Tampa, finally ---
Of course we had to ask the yet-to-be-officially-named GPS lady how to get where we needed to be.
And after checking in, we ended up at an Italian grill called Antonio’s. We hadn’t eaten since breakfast and were SO HUNGRY. Maybe that is why we are swearing this is the best Italian food we have eaten. Regardless --
Fried mozzarella -
This is the actual meal, after we finished. Of course, this was after the Mangotini, bread, fried mozzarella, and Brent’s soup. We bagged all of this up and brought it back to the room --- supper tomorrow as well!
This was not only the best pizza I have ever eaten, but the best pizza I have ever smelled. The crust was wonderful!
Now we are back at the hotel and I have the heat on and the blanket out and we are just hanging out and waiting until a less embarrassing hour to go to bed. It is only 8 pm now – 7 pm our time! But we are just so tired!! Maybe tomorrow we’ll see some sun.
