Here are the most popular nightlife activities in Vegas that we had to choose from:
- gambling at the casinos
- dancing the night away at a nightclub
- dining at a fancy restaurant
- riding a thrill ride
- going to a show
- going to a strip club (ha!)
Guess what we did? Took a walk down the strip – and it was the perfect way to spend the evening. There was actually not much sinning going on, at least for us. We may be the tamest (lamest?) tourists Las Vegas has ever seen.
We walked all the way down to New York, New York where I decided to ride the roller coaster and then changed my mind because of my back. Then we walked back up to the Venetian. Here they have fountains and streetlights and a canal that runs through the hotel, complete with gondola rides. They also piped in music from Phantom of the Opera (my favorite). “Music of the Night” was playing and it was beautiful and so appropriate! Very romantic! I could have stayed there forever. I wanted to ride the gondola, but it was so ridiculously expensive (and not even private) that I would never have been able to enjoy it.
Then, despite all of the fantastic restaurants that Vegas had to offer, we headed to the Flamingo food court to avoid the crowds and get to bed on time. Party animals! Me & Brent are truly a match made in Heaven.
